I agree with the thoughts of Erich Fromm in his book “TO HAVE OR TO BE” (1976). In particular, in this consumer society, everyone believed that to “be, you must have” and only “if you have, then you are.” A doctrine that became not only a daily point of reference but a way of life. Could you look around and discover who and how many belong to the above category? These people define their existence by whether they wear branded products, people who, if you sit down and talk to them about anything but fashion and the latest iPhone model, will be horrified by the intellectual gibberish.
