What is going on with climate change? – Georgios Ardavanis (Ph.D.)

Delivering The Highest Quality Fabrics

Regarding climate change, we heard a lot of stuff such as:

· The greenhouse gases are warming the globe.

· Sunspots actually cause warming.

· We are in the age of ice.

· The glaciers are melting.

· Sea level is rising.

· Carbon dioxide is natural where (a) Carbon dioxide is a lot higher now than in the past, and (b) Carbon dioxide was a lot lower now than in the past.

· The earth was a lot warmer in the past.

· The earth was a lot colder in the past.

The truth of the matter is that everything is true regarding the above because of the geological changes of planet Earth. Such climate changes occurred in the past too.

Daily we are bombarded by the news that climate change is destroying our future. That carbon dioxide is accumulating in the atmosphere, and that global warming is killing the Great Barrier Reef. However, there is more to the story. Over the last decade, total global emissions declined. Deaths from natural disasters have diminished to a few hundred a year at least in the USA. Even as the global population quadrupled over the last century, they’ve declined internationally by over 90%. The Great Barrier Reef recorded the highest amount of coral in the last 36 years, possibly longer, because that is the time we’ve been studying and measuring. How come nobody is saying that?

Everyone is talking about stopping Global Warming. Why aren’t we talking about reversing Global Warming? Specifically, after a tough year with little rainfall, our earth-smiles plot (earth smiles are semi-circular shaped pits that capture rainwater. They are dug in the project areas in Africa to capture rainwater that will otherwise get washed away over the dry, barren soil. By digging earth smiles, we allow the water to sink into the soil) at Pembamoto in Africa is still covered in fresh, green vegetation. It’s a testament to nature’s resilience and the long-term power of regreening. Indeed, one of the greatest comeback stories of our time is nature. This once barren and desertificated soil has now transformed into a lush landscape, with vegetation that thrives despite the ongoing drought. And the best part of this story is that in the end, EVERYBODY wins. What do you think of the comeback of nature?

Governments are advocating to spend trillions of dollars and euros to make the US and EU carbon neutral by 2050. Specifically, they plan to spend 50 trillion USD in the USA to make the country carbon neutral by 2050. This money is taxpayers’ money, yet they don’t know how much they will lower the temperatures upon making this humongous investment. Government officials from the Departments of Energy that propose these trillions of investments, do not have the slightest idea of how much such investment is going to reduce world temperatures by 2050. And all this because of fake reports.
